Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
For the financial year 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027
UK Packaging Supplies Ltd is committed to ensuring that modern slavery and human trafficking have no place in our operations or supply chain. We are fully committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships.
This statement is made pursuant to Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps we have taken during the financial year ending 31 March 2026 to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains.
Our Business and Supply Chain
UK Packaging Supplies Ltd is a manufacturer and distributor of packaging materials, operating from six sites across the UK. Our supply chain includes suppliers of paper/board, plastics, inks, adhesives, and other raw materials, many of which are based in the UK and Europe.
We recognise that while the risk of modern slavery in our direct operations is low, there is a higher risk in certain parts of our extended supply chain, particularly in raw material sourcing and lower-tier suppliers.
Our Policies and Procedures
- We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, forced labour, child labour, and human trafficking.
- We have established a dedicated Policy on Non-Compliance with Ethical Standards and Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking Laws, which details immediate corrective actions and long-term preventative measures.
- All employees, contractors, and key suppliers are expected to comply with our Ethical Trade Policy.
- We maintain a confidential whistleblowing policy that encourages the reporting of any concerns.
Due Diligence and Risk Assessment
- We conduct risk-based due diligence on our suppliers through our Supplier Vendor Assessment (SVA) process.
- High-risk suppliers or categories (e.g. certain imported materials) receive enhanced scrutiny.
- We require key suppliers to confirm their compliance with anti-slavery laws and provide supporting evidence where requested.
- Modern slavery risks are included in our annual risk assessment and reviewed as part of our QEMS (ISO 9001 & 14001) processes.
Training and Awareness
- All relevant employees receive training on modern slavery awareness, including how to identify signs of exploitation and report concerns.
- Training is refreshed annually or following any significant legislative or operational changes.
